The idea for Officina Gambacorta was first imagined in 2022 after Amy Gambacorta moved to Florence, (Tuscany) Italy,

where she was inspired by the Florentine lifestyle and became obsessed with artisanal Tuscan goods.

Amy has spent the past 20+ years of her life working as a fashion designer, living and traveling around the world. Whilst her life has been anything but predictable and ordinary, the one constant in her life has been her everyday wardrobe staple : a vintage black leather jacket, which has traveled around the world with her, regardless of the season, the weather or the occasion.

Amy has always been intrigued by leather jackets -- particularly vintage ones -- for the stories they tell and the memories they hold. It's an immediate visual language when you see someone wearing a really unique worn-in leather jacket, full of nostalgia. It's nonverbal communication...

Amy believes that quality leather jackets not only should last forever to tell a story, but that good leather jackets should also be considered investment pieces...works of art...collector's items...family heirlooms that can be kept and passed down to future generations to tell a story and to keep those memories alive. Like a diamond ring, a custom leather jacket is something you should cherish and wear, every day, forever....one (good one) is enough and should last you a lifetime. It's about QUALITY pieces, not quantity. Buy less, wear more.

Thus the idea for Officina Gambacorta was born. Amy feels that the industry has become completely oversaturated with fast fashion, in-stock items, and even high fashion items that everyone now has access to, that are mass produced, and definitely not one-of-a-kinds. Amy was sick of seeing everyone wearing the same thing and everyone starting to look like each other. So, Amy decided to design only custom, one-of-kind leather jackets, designed in collaboration with you (the customer) so that there will never be another duplicate made. Amy’s jackets are made-to-measure and made-to-order. Consider it “haute leather.”

Each jacket is hand made in Tuscany, Italy, with the utmost attention to quality and detail. We take our time designing and creating each bespoke piece. Your jacket will be unique to you only and not for sale to anyone else...ever. We think that’s pretty f*cking cool, don’t you?
